Maxjet
Maxjet is a business only airline. It is a 767 with 102 seats. All seats
have 60 inch seat pitch – about 5 feet. It’s almost lie flat, and you
get a personal video player loaded with loads of films and TV shows.
Canapes on boarding and champers, and then enough booze to make the 11.5
hour trip melt away. It’s a longer trip because the plane is not as big
as a 747, so has a lower cruising speed. You can however take 2 bags
with 32kg allowance in each, and the food is lovely – steak going out,
lobster coming back. No in flight map, which was a bit of a pain. If
they have a sale on, £599 for a return flight is an absolute bargain.

Transfer
Bastard cab driver long hauled me – even though I told him not to take
the tunnel, so I noted the price on the meter as we exited the tunnel
and then loudly told him that I was subtracting that from the fare once
we got to the nugget. He tried to argue until I called for the bellhop to
ring the cab authority. He was lucky to get 22 bucks, and I told him that.
Golden Nugget
Bry.. what planet were you on when you said the Nugget was a heap of
shite? It’s all browns and golds, very nice – the new pool with the
shark tank is great, and the casino is beautiful now! Seriously, even if
you hate downtown (which means all you bloody snobs), you should go down
and see how nice the GN is now, it’s easily as nice as any 4 star places
on the strip.

Bellagio
Lovely as ever, 28th floor room, nice view of the fountains, shower that
will take your nipples off if you aren’t careful, bed that lulls you to
stay. Electric curtains and more towels than you can shake a stick at!
Everyone has to stay here at least once.
Shows
Saw O (again), also saw Love – it’s good, but not as good as O.
In other news: Barbary Coast was closed…. Being audited for the change
to Bill’s Gambling Saloon (I kid you not).
