League Details
The League starts on 30th August
2003
Each tournament we play will have
a 10% additional charge which will be put into a savings account.
For each game played in, 2 points
will be awarded - so if you come to all 3 tournaments, you make 6 points on the day.
Additionally, if you make a final
table appearance, you will be awarded the following points:
1st - 10 points
2nd - 8 points
3rd - 6 points
4th - 5 points
5th - 4 points
6th - 3 points
7th - 2 points
8th - 1 point
The league will run for 11
months.
At the end of the 11 months,
we will have a "play-off" for the main prize. This will be a buy in for the
£1000 main event in the festival at Luton in August 2004. The play-off
will be in July 2004. The July game date will be decided
at least two months prior to the game, so everyone knows whether they can make the
play-off or not.
The top 16 people in the play-off are the ONLY people permitted
to play. If anyone drops out of the top 16, their place will NOT be filled.
The top 16 players
will have their top 10 scores/points calculated to determine the amount of chips they
get to start with in the "play-off". So, for example, if you win every game
over the 12 month period (I know it's unlikely but this is hypothetical!!) then you
would have accumulated 12 points per game (2 just for entering and 10 for 1st place).
Times that by 10 (top 10 scores taken into account only) which gives you 120 points.
We will then times that by 50 to give you your starting chips of 6000. The "play-off"
will be No Limit Texas Hold'em. We anticipate an average starting stack of 4000
at points count.
We have decided to take only the
top 10 scores into account AS WELL AS including the 2 points for every game attended.
This is basically "rewarding" those who come more often. So the moral is, the
more games you come to, the more points you will start with in the play-off.
When the play-off has been won,
the person who wins will play in the tournament that we choose and that person will
play for 50% of any prize he/she wins. The remaining 50% will be split between
the other 7 players who made the final of the play-off. The percentage structure
is as follows:
1st = 50% of any winnings
2nd = 19% of any winnings
3rd = 12% of any winnings
4th = 8% of any winnings
5th = 5% of any winnings
6th = 3% of any winnings
7th = 2% of any winnings
8th = 1% of any winnings
So basically, the person
that wins the play-off is playing for the other 7 finalists as well as them self.
Good luck to everyone who participates.
