This month saw yet another new face at the game. Gordon finally managed to find his way to Bishops Stortford after having his initial invite some months ago. Gordon’s profile is now on site for all to see
.

The game also saw the return of Chris (The_Ace) and John (Willie) . Both have already confirmed their seats for next months game, so hopefully they will become regulars again.

The official SBT also made a re-appearance this month. Having had BBQs and pizza for dinner the last few months, I thought it time to bring back the good old Spaghetti Bake and Trifle. It went down VERY well and without the added addition of the clingfilm . Also, and rather embarrassingly, I didn’t make note that our new player, Gordon, was a veggie and the poor man had to eat spaghetti and cheese sauce. Yet another blunder I doubt I will live down for a while .

Andrew (L.G.F.) was giving poker lessons to Chris (The_Ace). L.G.F. told The_Ace that he should try and think what the other person might have when he’s playing a hand. Well DUH!!!! . Well it obviously worked, because he went on to make the next 2 final tables and a tidy profit. The_Ace was, however, suffering from multiple cuts where the deck just kept hitting him in the face.

The battle commences for the Poker League points too, Michael (Worzil) has jumped ahead of L.G.F. and Jeff (Nuts Nathan) is close behind in 3rd place. Next months game we will be having only one game (£100er) but we are awarding triple points . So anything could happen to the league points after next month’s game. Watch this space.

Many attempts were made to try and get some of “Jontys Heads Up Challenge”games underway. It was difficult, as one of the two players were either still in the tournament or, in Priscilla’s’ (Bopsys) case – pissed. Tim (Top Pair) approached Bopsy and offered up the challenged to play their heads up match. Bopsy said she had had too much to drink and couldn’t possibly be trusted to play properly . Good luck with getting this head-up challenge finished Jonty.

All in all, it was an eventful day of poker. Some great poker was played and lots of laughs were had. The contents of my fridge were devoured (even the stuff that wasn’t brought in for the game). I even had to go out in the afternoon for more supplies. What a bunch of little piggies you all are.

Don’t forget that the next game is not a “normal” game but a £100 freeze-out. Look forward to seeing some of you then.
