Well,
it's been a while since I wrote a home game report (WSOC 2004 was the last one).
Apologies for not keeping up with them each month, but I will try and start doing
them again
There
have been so many new players in the past few months I feel that I should list each
and every one of them as they all deserve a mention.
So,
here goes (apologies if I have missed anyone): Michael Glossop, Bob Dix (Nice Guy
Bob), Derek (Old King Cole), David Wicks, David Stevens (Ringo99), Chris Norman, Chris
Charalambous (Wizard of Shadwell), Darren Bowden, Wayne O'Connor, Martin Feinstein,
Aaron Cardoso, Richard Prew and Mark Nicholls. I think that's everyone and a big to
them all.
I
guess I'll get back to the present now and report on the March game.
The
day started off as any other day except we had a few more runners than usual for the
first game. I was first to be knocked out when I was all in with JJ vs A9 (soooooooooted)
with 99x on the flop Richard
Prew was the first newbie of this month and it was he who knocked me out. Not a good
start Richard !!!
For
the second game we had another six people arrive, one of them Mark Nicholls, our second
newbie of the month. The second game started half hour later than usual but
got off and running with no hitches.
At about 6pm the phone
rang and I was shocked to hear
a voice from the past on the other end. TimBo He
and Jonty were on their way for the last game Five
minutes later, I am stood in the kitchen and get a tap on the shoulder. I turn round
to see James (another player who has not been to the game in a few months and who
just lives round the corner). he wanted to know if there was a seat for the last game
too. Of course, the more the merrier!
We lost a few players
from the first two games but their seats were filled in the last game, a full house
for the March game
Anyways, to cut a
long story short (thank god I hear you cry) it was a fantastic day. The humor
levels were higher than usual, the bad beats were harsher than usual and the cash
game went on longer than usual
It was 5.45am before the last person left and having only had 5 hours sleep the night
before I fell asleep walking up the stairs to my pit.
I still wouldn't change
you guys for the world, you're all great and without you the game wouldn't be so much
fun.
See you all next Month
AwesomeAli
